Hi, my name is Mackenzie Taylor, and I’ve been passionate about motorsport for as long as I can remember. My racing journey began when I was eight and a half years old, and from the moment I first got behind the wheel, I knew this was where I belonged. In early 2017, I made the leap into full-time racing, dedicating countless hours to testing, learning, and honing my skills on the track. Those early days were all about building a solid foundation – one that would set me up for future success.

Later that year, I took on my first major challenge, competing in the Honda GX160 Winter Championship. Over nine thrilling rounds, I pushed myself to the limit and was thrilled to finish 5th overall in the championship standings and 4th in my class. That result was a huge boost for me, showing that hard work and determination really do pay off.

Building on that momentum, I moved up to the Honda GX200 Championship. This step up brought new challenges and fierce competition, but it also brought one of the most pivotal moments in my career: gaining the support of my first sponsor. With their backing, I completed eight rounds and finished an incredible 3rd overall. It was a proud moment for me and my family, marking a significant milestone in my development as a driver.

Karting is where my story started, and I’d encourage anyone who’s thinking about racing to give it a try. The UK is home to some fantastic tracks, but for me, Stretton Karting stands out. Their team was not only incredibly skilled but also unbelievably supportive, helping me and my family navigate the world of motorsport during those early days.

Looking Ahead
Racing has become so much more than just a passion – it’s a way of life. Every race teaches me something new, whether it’s the importance of focus, the value of teamwork, or the thrill of pushing myself beyond my limits. My ultimate dream is to compete in the British GT and to be signed by a top-tier team. I know it’s a long road ahead, but with hard work, perseverance, and the incredible support of my family, my sister, and my sponsors, I’m confident in what the future holds.
